Hi, she doesn't know there's a Band-Aid on her H-E-A-D
The best part about Trixie's little scrape was trying to keep her from knowing about it, so she wouldn't pull the band-aids off. Putting them on wasn't too bad. We would just tickle her crazy and take advantage of the confusion. The bigger problem was encountering other people because, "Poor Trixie, there's a boo-boo on your head," was almost always the first thing out of their mouth.Photo taken December 20th, 2004. | |

OHHH MY GOSH!!! Pleeeaassse tell me that she doesn't have bumps & bruises (falling from the crib) all over her forehead! BTW, love that she's brushing her teeth. Good hygiene, Trixie! Hope everyone in Trixieland has a wonderful Christmas. Maybe we (us TTU Readers) can get a X-Mas gift of our own - a pic of Trixie among a pile of wrapping paper? :) Posted by: lori at December 23, 2004 10:26 AM

Graham would definitely not know he had bruises galore IF he had a toothbrush in his hands. The minute I say "Time to brush teeth" he drops everything (including his beloved MILK) and charges for the bathroom. Not quite sure what the appeal is but we usually have to pry the toothbrush out of his hands after 5-10 minutes have passed. Posted by: Leslie at December 23, 2004 01:35 PM

Our son, age 2.5, is quite the "picker" and refuses to wear bandaids. When he had to have blood drawn, he calmly watched the technician stick him with the needle, draw the blood, switch up tubes and pull the needle out, but when she ripped a piece of tape off of the roll to stick the gauze pad down, he started screaming. Leslie: Our son is the same way about brushing his teeth. A month ago, he was asking up to 5 times a day to brush his teeth. Posted by: Dianne at December 23, 2004 01:59 PM

Hey! Wasn't it just one bandaid a couple of days ago? They're multiplying! (And your bandaid technique is what we used for barrettes, pre-bangs...of course people would comment on the cute barrette, and then Maddie would rip it out of her hair.) Posted by: Maddie's Mom at December 23, 2004 03:42 PM
