Trixie is a thumbsucker. Usually it's just when she's sleepy, or if she gets a hold of her security blanket, which I try to hide from her until it's nap time. Posted by: benmac at August 24, 2004 08:34 AM

So, doesn't she pull the velcro open on the diapes? We are using cloth with the occasional sposie for 8 mo old DS and his little monkey hands pull the velcro right off. We've moved to snap covers. Sorry if this jinxes you. Posted by: MT at August 24, 2004 09:30 PM

We've got the same problem - she'll pull her diaper off in a second if left alone. This shot was taken right before we put her bedtime clothes on. Posted by: benmac at August 24, 2004 09:39 PM

I was a thumb sucker (46 years ago) and I am sane (kind of) and not really orally fixated (ok, yes I am) but my teeth are healthy! IT was heavenly. I remember the comfort, and I also knew it couldn't be taken away or controlled. Posted by: IbePiglet at August 24, 2004 10:50 PM
