What glee! I love this photo. Maddie also loves the computer...especially the optic mouse. Thanks, btw, for the shower advice previously. I will try it soon! Posted by: Maddie's Mom at June 11, 2004 02:00 AM

Keir can do the strangest things to my keyboard and computer--I dont think I could repeat the errors even if I tried. Trixie is looking great! I hope she can come over and play soon. Posted by: Shauna at June 11, 2004 02:42 PM

There is a "game" for babies called Babysmash for Mac where the baby kits the keys on the keyboard and all sorts of shapes and sounds come up on the monitor. Charlie downloaded it for Henry when he was Trixie's age and he loved it!!! Posted by: Amanda at June 11, 2004 04:10 PM

Have been hanging around your site for a while and enjoying the stupendous graphs, so thought it was time to chip in: Some classmates of mine wrote this program for an HCI design class last fall. Moving the mouse around animates little swirls of firefly-like shapes on screen correspondingly, and produces musical tones in all sorts of pitches and instrumentations. It works perfectly fine with no fine motor control: http://www.stanford.edu/~sknapp/cs247a/Nexpression.zip Posted by: Mishmosh at June 12, 2004 02:07 AM

What a cutie pie! I just sent this site to my son in law who is finally giving me a grandchild via my daughter! This should be a real eye opener for him and a nice Father's Day present! I can't wait to peruse. Posted by: Gramma Sue at June 12, 2004 05:00 AM

I have just spent the last hour looking at your site... It was recommended by Kim Kommando....(Expect a lot more visitors!!!) Your daughter is very cute and your entries and "research" are hilarious... It was very entertaining to read. Keep up the good work. Posted by: Tina Faber at June 12, 2004 10:51 AM

Visiting because of Kim Komando. Being here brings a smile to my face and makes me remember back. I am a photographer by trade and remember back to the days when I took pictures of our son almost every day till our daughter was born. I took pictures of both in the beginning but never again everyday. If digital was alvailable then (over 30 years ago)I think I probably would have taken more pictures. My advice to you, take as many pictures as you can because the time goes by too fast. Our son will be 34 and our daughter 33 this year. Where does the time go? I'm also here at Kim Komando's suggestion. What a great site! My son is a new father, so I sent this url to the new parents and I know they will love it. Having sons 30 and 29, I remember well the adventure of raising children and I relate to what you are experiencing. Thanks for sharing Dixie with the world. She's adorable! I'm here too because of Kim Komando. Enjoyed looking at the pictures. Our grand children are 18-20-22 now so no little ones around. How fast they grow up but we spent lots of good times with them when little. . Posted by: winona at June 12, 2004 05:41 PM

Love your comments, stories, and pictures! I, too, am glad that Kim Komando pointed her readers in your direction. This is great! "Trixie" is a doll, and her dad is hilarious! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and many smiles! My kiddos are 18 and 14 now, but I remember those poop-filled, sleep-deprived early days more clearly as I read your posts! Time goes so quickly. You'll be glad that you've kept your blog! Posted by: Deb at June 12, 2004 09:48 PM

What a blast it was reading your site! A friend sent me the link, and I just read it from beginning to end. My husband and I have a boy, Sam, who will be 17 months old next week (where di that time go??), so I can relate! After seeing Trixie's trials and tribulations (or I should say you and your wife's), I now realize how truly lucky we are that Sam slept through the entire night at 6 weeks old, and never even caught a cold until he was 6 months old. We were blessed with diapers that didn't leak much, either, although we found out very quickly that they had to be on tight! At one year, he decided not to sleep all night anymore, but only woke once for a bottle. He started teething at only 4 months, but we didn't even know it until he opened up and showed us two bottom teeth! He is now finishing up his molars, and he has let us know about their arrivals much more. Anyway, I could go on and on, but wanted to let you know I'll keep reading, and thanks for sharing! Enjoy your little one! And, if you think she gets into everything while crawling, wait until she is walking....the babyproofing area just gets raised higher and higher as I write! :) Posted by: Summer at June 13, 2004 06:17 AM
