And they didn't even know about my latest injury

According to my hometown newspaper, The Raleigh News & Observer, I’m one step closer to dying. Well, ok, that’s not quite how they put it. Instead they were kind enough to include us in an article that looks at a few of the “101 Things to Do Before You Die.”

During the interview I was told our section would be called something along the lines of “Create a Web site with a cult-like following”. By the time it got to print, that transformed into “Create a cult Web site”. But it’s a good cult right? No one’s wearing black Nikes or buying automatic rifles in bulk? Ok? good.

Cool! A cult! No black Nikes or rifles in bulk, but can we have a secret handshake?

  2. brian says:

What?? This isn’t a cult?? I guess I’m in the wrong place.

Only a cult in the best possible way!! This is not ordinary blog that you have created dear Ben. It is sssooo much more. But it boils down to being able to see something nice everyday….there is no death or mayhem ( ok,well a little mayhem !)and maybe a little insight on modern parenting. I have a friend who just found out that she is pregnant with identical twins at the age of 35. She is basically clueless!!! ( with the rest of us wwwaaayyy past the baby stage and looking at the teenage years with dread) but I clued her in to your website and she loves it. But more importantly it has calmed her down,( which the rest seemed not to be able to do) she will be fine, be a good parent, despite all the bumps in the road you will encounter… ( the thump, thunk, comes to mind)….so it’s all a good thing Ben…but only continue to do it if you still enjoy it…..

Beware any Kool-Aide that Ben offers.

And that’s why I call it the News & Disturber

  6. Nina says:

If this is a cult does that mean we all worship the all mighty Trixie? Or is it the atomic toddler we worship? Wow, don’t let Trixie know she has all these worshipers, it will deffinatley go to her head!

  7. FrumDad says:

‘dya ever notice that you never see Atomic Toddler and Trixie in the same place at the same time? Hmmmm….

i just want to thank you at this site for your ‘Milk Week’ articles. I am a new mother to a 2-month-old, and have just gone back to work this week, after nursing on demand since my daughter was born. There’s all kinds of helpful information for nursing mothers out there, but not much for breast-milk bottlefeeding dads, and DEFINITELY not much information on how to manage the flow of storage, bottles, pump parts, and all the milk that goes into the baby on a certain schedule. Reading “milk week” showed me how to organize the whole thing, from supplies at work to bottles at home. thanks so much! also love your site generally.
