I was a heavy-duty escape artist as a toddler. And, except for this odd twitch, I turned out fine!!!

Fortunately Olivia never tried to get out of her crib and we switched her to a toddler bed a few weeks ago before she even thought of the idea. I fear that my son (now only 4 months old) will do the attempting - at which point we'll move Olivia into a big bed and the son into the toddler bed.

Hey guys,
Thanks for many laughs ... Trixie is just gorgeous. I thought of you today when our 9 month-old Veronica again ate through an ad from the paper and we found bits of it on her tongue.

Not sure if you've heard this suggestion yet, but how about doing away with the crib and putting the mattress right on the floor (and maybe a gate at the doorway if you're concerned about her safety)? I read the mattress suggestion recently in Maria Montessori's The Secret of Childhood.

Good luck!
